Senior Pastor Jesse Hamberger; Jesse holds a Bachelor's Degree from Fresno Pacific University in Religious Studies and a Master of Divinity Degree from Western Seminary Portland. Pastor joined North Valley Christian Fellowship in Woodburn in 1995. In 2000 North Valley merged with Woodburn Baptist to form Mid-Valley Community Church. Jesse has been our leader since that time. Jesse's wife is Emily and they have four children, Shalom, Ethan, Benjamin and Sophia.
Pastor Lyle Wilson. Lyle is a graduate of Multnomah Bible College. He was the Senior Pastor of Woodburn Baptist at the time of the merger with North Valley Christian Fellowship in 2000. He brings Godly wisdom and experience from his 40 years in the Pastorate to the ministry leadership team. Lyle's wife is Vera and they have 3 children. Jim, Joanne and Joyce.
Meet our Elders
Al and Lila Bathke. Al is retired from the Oregon State Police. Lila works at Chemeketa Community College. He and Lila have two grown sons and one granddaughter, whom he coaches in Little league baseball.
Paul and Vickie Bonar. Their family consists of three sons and one daughter. Paul and Vickie both practice dentistry in Salem. They also host exchange students regularly, and Paul serves on the board of Salem Academy where his 3 younger children are students and athletes.
Roland and Linda Lethe. Roland has a job as a plant manager. Linda has been in the childcare business for many years. They have 3 adult children and one still in high school, and are new grandparents this year.
Matt and Adriel Maurice. Matt works for the Portland Air National Guard, while Adriel is a nurse at Salem Hospital. They recently became parents with the birth of their son.
Monte and Dina Miller. Monte is a contractor, while Dina works as the secretary at Gervais Middle school. They also keep busy in the summer raising blueberries and with their videography business. They are the parents of 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
Bob and Janette Schiedler. Bob works for Xerox in a managerial capacity. Janette is at the Woodburn Aquatic Center front desk part time and has a part time quilting business. They enjoy camping whenever they can get away with 3 of their 6 children still at home.
Dennis and De’anna Want. After Dennis retired from municipal work in California they moved up here. They have a grown daughter and grandchildren and have been adopted by numerous others. Both Dennis and De’anna have their own motorcycles to ride.
Rod and Jeanette Yates. Rod travels extensively as a pilot for Southwest Airlines. They have 3 grown children and are new grandparents. Rod enjoys riding motorcycles and Jeanette enjoys her jetskis.
